A bounce rate is a value that Google Analytics measures and displays in the reports. The bounce rate represents a percentage of visitors who land on your page and then leave the website without clicking further.

The misunderstanding

Many people think that the bounce rate means that people do not take any action and immediately leave your website. That is not true.

It is possible that the visitor spends 3 minutes on your web page, reads all the text and thinks that is enough to leave. Then your page has been valuable, but you still have a 100% bounce rate with this visitor.
